From our Kitchen to Yours
Colterra’s Spiced Pumpkin Soup
Cold weather and soup go hand in hand when the winter season approaches. It’s the time of year where family and friends gather, sharing delicious bites to eat. Colterra’s Spiced Pumpkin Soup recipe is simple and bound to warm some bellies for those nights snuggled up by the fire! Not a holiday event host? Cut down the recipe, and have a perfect warm dinner at your convenience when you don’t feel like cooking. Bon appetit!
A Farmer’s Fallacy Cocktail
When Fall comes to mind, images of crisp sunny days, vibrate colorful leaves and, of course, pumpkin lead the way. It’s a classic example of seasonal eating. Round House Spirits has crafted the perfectPumpkin King Cordial, made from local Munson pumpkins! We couldn’t think of a better product to honor. The Farmer’s Fallacy Cocktail is bright and savory. Notes of mulling spices and citrus meet earthier flavors of pumpkin and carrots, all backed by a great texture. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The Gift of Seafood
We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Chef Bradford Heap and designer, Carol Vilate, signed a 10-year lease on the building next door to SALT (the one that used to be PastaVino). We’ll keep you posted on exact opening date, but we’re hoping for late February of next year. Chef and Carol are still deciding on the name, but we DO know that the new restaurant will feature spectacular sustainable, “pristine” fish, and an oyster bar. A good portion of the menu will be devoted to vegetarian dishes made with organic, seasonal, local produce. And, of course, this restaurant’s kitchen will be GMO-free just like SALT and Colterra.
Can’t wait to see you there! Stay tuned…
